My 10 year old niece and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Russell's knowledge and use of technology made for a well rounded experience. I've taken walking tours in Boston, NYC, and Williamsburg. My Pittsburgh tour has just topped my list.

Russel was very enthusiastic and in love with the city of Pittsburgh and had a lot of interesting facts to tell us. We learned quite a lot about the city, its founders, and its architecture that we otherwise would have not known walking about on our own. Recommend it if you enjoy walking tours!

This tour was amazing! Russell truly cares about Pittsburgh and it’s history. For 90 minutes he takes you all the way around the city and shows you buildings if historical importance. I would definitely do this tour again and will tell all my friends that when they’re in Pittsburgh they should do this tour as well!

Even though we are from Pittsburgh, we greatly enjoyed the tour of our beloved hometown. Russell provided a great summary of the city's history and added many fun facts. I highly recommend Free Pittsburgh Walking Tours for your next visit to the 'Burgh!

Russell has given me an unforgettable time in Pittsburg. I enjoyed the best views, learned a lot about Pittsburg, saw great places, waved Amish and visited the wonderful Fallingwater. I can only recommend his tours to everyone that is planning to visit Pittsburgh. Ask for an individual tour, especially if you have little time and would like to see as many as you can. Thanks, Thanks, Thanks Russell for the great days and beautiful music.

Raena is an incredibly kind and committed tour guide. How she got to share that many interesting facts about Pittsburgh while making it fun (in a blazing hot day) is beyond me. I completely recommend booking a tour with her for future tourists, also taking into account that Downtown Pittsburgh is beautiful and it is a must if you are visiting the city. 10/10

On our first trip to Pittsburgh we found this tour and jumped at the opportunity at a guided tour of the city! We met Russell and walked through the business district for an hour and learned about some of the history, development and architecture of the area. Proceeded to a three hour driving tour and visited the Strip District, Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh University, Oakland and took a trip up one of the inclines. Russell was a fantastic guide. He offered many historical and interesting facts about the early and current days living in Pittsburgh. I recommend this tour to anyone wanting a thorough tour of the city. Thanks again to Russell.

I've lived in Pittsburgh for about 4 years and learned more about the city in Leila's hour and a half tour than I have during my entire time here! I'd recommend it for all ages as there were plenty of places to sit if need be. It's also very accessible to non-native English speakers - my German companion had no problem keeping up, and even mentioned wanting to start her own walking tour in her home city! The starting point is easy to find, with plenty of parking nearby, and the tour wraps up in the perfect spot if you want a bite to eat afterwards. If you like Pittsburgh, history, or are just looking for a little exercise, this tour is for you!

Leila is a great tour guide. She makes the tour really interesting and entertaining, it is full of data, historical facts and curiosities. I learnt a lot and got to know the city a lot better. In addition, you can see that she really enjoys her job! If you come to Pittsburgh don’t hesitate to book this tour!

We recently moved to Pgh and both of our families came to visit for Thanksgiving. Our private tour with Russell was so much fun, and appealed to everyone from our siblings to our 90-year-old grandmother. We highly recommend this to visitors and yinzers alike!

Super interesting tour with an awesome tour guide! I visited a friend in Pittsburgh in February and decided to book this tour to get to know the city a bit better. It was pouring rain but that did not stop Russell from giving an awesome tour. I feel like learned a lot during this tour. Russell knows a lot about the city, not just about the history but he also gave great recommendations on where to eat typical Pittsburgh food - and even taught me how to speak with a Pittsburgh accent! Overall a very fun tour which I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Pittsburgh.

Our daughter has been at Pitt for three years and we have never taken this tour—boy, we didn’t know what we were missing! It was cold out but Russel’s informative and often funny storytelling of Pittsburgh’s complex history made us focus on the stories and not the cold!

Russell was a wonderful tour guide. I learned quite a lot about the history of Pittsburgh from it's early settlement to the present, and I enjoyed the walk around the downtown area of the city. We started at Point Park and finished in Market Square, a great spot to grab a beer and a burger. I will recommend Russell's tour to all my friends who visit Pittsburgh. Absolutely worth the time!

We really enjoyed our tour of Pittsburgh! Ambrose was very knowledgeable about all the different types of history related to the buildings in Pittsburgh! And he was able to answer all the little girls questions to their satisfaction! Great tour!

This 90-minute walking tour is informative, fun, and a perfect thing to do if you want to get to know this interesting city a bit more. Russell kept the energy up, provided a history lesson, included many fun facts, and took me past many buildings and sights I would have otherwise ignored. A perfect introduction to Pittsburgh. Thank you Russell!
